The Christian life

The Christian life I live is about a personal relation where I through the Son can know the Father with the Holy Spirit guiding me. It manifests through prayer, witnessing, attending public meetings and making public declarations.

Reading the Bible is very important. I introduce my reading with a short prayer request. I desire that God is with me when I read the Bible so I can get the appropriate focus and understanding given my situation.

The Bible reveals information relevant to us about God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

There will be no new revelation and there are dire warnings of extending the word of the Lord in [1], [2], [3], and [4].

I use the Bible as an authority, other Jewish or Christian texts can be useful and informative but they are not authoritative. That is, if the Bible says something that is in conflict with any other teaching, I reject it, and return to the Bible. [5]

So, how do I face challenges in life with a personal relation with God?

When faced with challenges I turn to God. That is done through prayer.

When I experience something wonderful I try to remember to thank God for it. Should I forget it and remember that I forgot about it I thank God in retrospect, through prayer.

When I fail in life I turn to God, through prayer.

When I have strong emotions, I turn to God.

When I think about larger changes in my life, I turn to God.

When I witness I pray to God for help in that situation.

I thank God every time I get a chance to witness about His gospel.

When I fail to give witness I ask for forgiveness. It is terrible when an obvious opportunity appears in front of me and I miss it.

When I go in the wrong direction I turn to God. I ask for help and start planning how to repent. Then I turn to God as often as I can when facing the same situations again.

When I think of people around me who are going in the wrong direction I turn to God with it.

I ask God for help in temptation.

I ask God for help in my relations with other people.

I ask God for help when facing problems at work.

I ask God for help when facing technical challenges that requires problem solving skills.

I ask God for help with my spiritual life.

I ask God for help with my fellowship problems.

I ask God for help so I can find a clean opportunity to partake in a proper communion. That is very important to me, and happens too rarely. I ask God to help me to increase that frequency. I hold it dearly and it is a great moment to me when it is done properly.

I thank God when watching a positive life changing event for me or someone else.

I thank God for the family He has given me to take care of. I ask Him to kindly think of all members of my family and make sure they will be given the opportunity to take a stand for Him. I kindly ask Him to work with the members of my family so they all will be saved. I am so thankful that some members of the family have embraced You. Please keep them close to You and guard them against anyone who wants them to go in the wrong direction.

I thank God for the godly parents I have had the great opportunity to be mentored by. They are a great blessing in my life. I thank You so much for them. Please take care of them until the very end. Please protect them and make sure they get to know that they have done a great job in teaching me Your ways.

I thank God for the food.

I thank God for all good things He provides for me.

I thank God for all things He has provided me with.

I thank God for all positive moments I get to experience.

I thank God for saving me.

I thank God for keeping me alive to experience all moments. Then I ask God to help me to pick the right path when it comes to changing my direction.

I thank God for the salary I get.

I thank God for the home I have.

I thank God for things He has given me.

I ask God to remove things I should not have.

I ask God to help me to change so I can better reflect Him in my life.

I turn to God when I have something that annoys me.

I turn to God when I feel unclean.

I turn to God when I feel happy.

I turn to God when I feel sad.

I thank God for chastising me when I do wrong. Then I know that He really cares about my well being and even when it hurts it is a comfort to me.

I thank God for listening to me. I surely would have had my ears fall off by listening to myself. I know His ears are listening.

I thank God that He makes me know that He always watches whatever I do. That includes moments when I do good or bad things. I thank Him for that because it is a restraining power, which does me good. When I fail I again turn to God with it and ask for forgiveness. When I resist evil I thank God for helping me through the trouble.

I thank God for His gift through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son who cleanses me from all my sin and saves me.

I thank God that He will provide me a way to successfully finish my walk with Him, all to the end of my earthly life.

I thank God that He will help me finish my race. I ask God, a lot recently, to be allowed to finish strongly and not take cover in fear.

I thank God that He will guide me to change the aspects of my life that are lacking. I need more fellowship. I need more proper communion. I need a church. I need fasting. I thank Him for what I have got during the years. I kindly ask Him to change this situation in my life and bring me to a union with other believers that He have prepared for me. I ask for forgiveness for all missed opportunities I have wasted and trust that Jesus Christ will cover for those sins. Thank you for providing me with what I will need.

Thank you for providing me with what You know I want.

Thank you for providing me with what You know I need. I desire to fully grasp that all other things are redundant.

I ask the Lord to to disregard things I ask for which are not appropriate, then to tell me that I should not ask for such things. I thank Him every time I get any confirmation or rejection of such requests. I ask the Lord to strengthen these messages and make sure such desires will be wiped out of my life. When I fail I ask Him to make me aware of my failure and again I ask Him to kindly give me a soft heart so I will repent and return to where He wants me.

I thank God for letting me know when there is something I need to deal with before I turn to Him. I ask Him to keep me well informed in this matter and make sure I don't miss it.

I ask for help to increase my time to read the Bible. I ask for more guidance when I read the Bible. I ask Him to be with me when I read the Bible.

I thank God when I feel His presence when I read the Bible.

I thank God when I feel His presence wherever I feel it.

I thank God when he comforts me and calms me down when I am troubled.

I thank God when he clearly tells me about something that is not right.

I ask God to please make me worship Him more. I need the context. I need the fellowship. Please provide me ways to do so more.

I ask God to help me understand things in life I need to be better at, such as fasting. Please provide me a way to fast as You want me to.

I ask God to keep my mouth shut more often. I usually talk to much and it is rarely great for me, but make my voice loud and clear when You need me to say something.

I thank God so very much for answering an almost innumerable amounts of prayers. I thank You so much for that.

Please keep me in a praying lifestyle. Make me start to fast as You want me to. Keep changing my lifestyle until all things that annoy You are gone. Keep me close to You.

Thank you so much for everything!

So to summarize I say that the Christian life is about having a personal relation with the living God. I want to know God, and I want Him to know me.

I also want knowledge about God, but that is not the primary goal. My primary goal is to know God.
